I too have been chatting to Petersen Griffin, same thing 42, widow with a 5 year old daughter Serena. I didn't have problems reading his emails, how did you know he was a scam? Did he ask you for anything? He didn't ask me for anything I had been chatting to him for about a month and he used the same line... lets keep the ball rolling! As the emails kept going on he told me he would relocate anywhere as long as I loved him and Serena unconditionally. He sent me pictures of the two of them and we were iming. The last few emails he told me he loved me and couldn't live without me and hoped that I would chose him as my partner. After those emails I googled his name and came across your post so I confronted him in a email, told him that if he was scamming me to stop right now! He instant messaged me how upset he was and did he look like someone who would do that!! I thought well I don't know... who's pictures did he send me?? I didn't know who this guy was and from the beginning I was hesitant.
I haven't heard from him since he told me how upset he was.

In response to Krewl, I also was in contact with the same Peterson Griffin and was chatting with him for about a month. He sent me pictures of him and his daughter Serena. He said the same things to me about his wife dieing tragically and he moved from Nashville to Orange Florida to forget the bad memories of his wife's death. He told me he would relocate to wherever I wanted as long as I could love him and Serena unconditionally, as we continued chatting he would tell me more about what he was like and how he was falling for me. The last few emails he told me how he couldn't live without me and he loved me... really!! we haden't even met so I googled his name and came across this so I confronted him and he messaged me back angry at me that I hurt him and did he look like someone who would do that! I told him if he was a scam stop emailing me and I haven't heard from him since.
Be careful out there everyone!!

Part of what was in your email was in mine I am a woman and this time it was from a man who called himself Prescott Birchard. It is so disgusting when people use very innocent people who are sincerely looking for love.I hurt almost everyday but I have hope that someone will get what he or she deserves.
Elizabeth I am singing the same tune as you the best way is to stay away from dating sites The sad part about Nigerians is, that they have no fingerprints taken, for any crime they commit. that is why its easy for them to use the other people,s names, They will give you the false name when they have to even collect their money. They say in Nigeria you can change a name anytime you want. As for their contact numbers they steal sim cards from the UK. The people who come from Nigeria say Dating services have become a source of income. It is not easy to get a background check as not all of us are suspecting. My scammer was on Facebook and there were two profiles for the same person. I tried to chat with the only two women who were not very open, and those were the only two friends.

I have recently been emailing with a scammer from Nigeria who calls himself Peterson Griffin, he says he's 42 and is a widow with a 5year old daughter. Says he is originally from Nashville,TN but lives in Orange,FL and is in Nigeria on business buying antiques. His first couple emails were in good English, but as the emails continued the fluency and flow of conversation is more broken and not as easily readable.
He constantly keeps repeating "Let's keep the ball rolling" and talking about his likes and that he is looking for the perfect women.

I confronted about his country of Origin in Facebook he is there but when you invite him he does not respond. He claimed to be 49 yet the one on facebook he is 45. The initial picture he posted is still on facebook and the others he used for th yahoomessenger and login. emails he is using is maxipresb@yahoo.com and the other is pressnlogan@yahoo.com.He is now supposed to be in Uk but I believe he is still in Nigeria. He asked me to delete the Nigerian no as he got irritated when I called him on the same. He is such a sweet talker even in the last email one would be convinced and he cries a lot to convince his victim.

You know what is funny? No matter how much you guys create awareness against scam and scammers, lots of you who have never been scammed and lots of you who have been scammed will still get scammed over and over. It is serious down here in Nigeria, Guys in Nigeria now use voodoo, black magic to influence you to act according to their will. You may not believe but its true.
