I have only been playing WoW for a few months and one thing I learned (If you want to help power level a friend) is to get a high level someone why can heal (Priest, Shammy) and have that person go along with a low level person while fighting monsters etc for XP. Do NOT add to a group - the higher level person will drop the XP of the lower level person. If not in a group, the lower level person can fight things a few levels above, get a LOT of XP and the higher level healer can help keep the lower level person at full health while getting XP.
